Be here for Art Battle Thursday, July 27, 2017 to celebrate the very best in live painting, at the Art Battle Canada National Championships. Winners of regional finals from across the country will compete for a cash prize, the trophy and the title of 2017 Art Battle National Champion! The competition takes place in two beautiful rooms at The Great Hall in Toronto, the Main Hall and the amazing space beneath, cool and mysterious Longboat Hall. Both venues have large wrap-around balconies, cash bars and amazing music throughout the night!

These are the best of the best live painters, don’t miss this amazing night of creative community celebration! This is the spectacular finale to the 2016/2017 Art Battle season, the culmination of more than 150 events across the country since August 2016 leading here, truly the best night of the year for live art in Canada!

Started in Toronto and now a growing event phenomenon around the globe, Art Battle® is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, guests can move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. Check out the calendar of Art Battle Regional Finals taking place from across Canada June 9 to July 7 at artbattle.com/calendar. Artists can apply for next season (beginning August 2017) at artbattle.com/register.
